Really? That sucks but good thing I never go out for fun there.

The only time I do not carry is when I am dressed to the T but its not far away

I know this is an old thread but I would love a huge list of places that have signs posted. Especially if we could get a big list and have it sorted by city.
I know El Sabor in Enterprise has a sign posted. And I think most waffle houses have a sign. As do all of the theaters I’ve been to in the Wiregrass region.

On a lighter note, there’s also a gas station in Trussville that has a “Firearms Welcome” sign, with a definite mention of keeping it holstered lol

The list has significantly grew over the past year. BUT, you do not hear about much firearm related news its mainly the covid now or election.

I pay no attention to a businesses no firearm signs as a sign is not a valid law, it’s just a sign. I’ve walked in many of those places with my sidearm under my shirt or coat and never been approached by anyone. What I wear concealed is none of their business. I do know that they can ask you to leave or be charged for trespassing but never had a problem. I don’t carry in a courthouse, hospital or federal building though as my permit has a limit as to carrying in those places.

No firearms on BJCC(Bham-Jefferson Civic Center) property. All "live acts" in the Concert Hall or Arena will have metal detector screening. No pocketknives either if it is a "metal detector" event. Most events in the exhibition halls do not have metal detector screening(cars shows, Xmas Village, etc.

This is a list of businesses that have no firearms or no guns allowed.

  1. Waffle House - Trussville Al

Comment to add and I will add it to the list.
Just so everyone knows Waffle House as a whole is anti gun. Me and my family had a bad experience and I even got a phone call from the southeast regional manage who said I was a f-ing idiot for thinking I needed to carry a gun in any restaurant and that all of their locations have a sign saying no firearms on property. They also kicked a National Guardsmen out for carrying a gun. Look for a little yellow sign on the outside that starts off talking about parking. Screenshot_20211030-225923_Google.jpg

My stance on this is that unless I am going to be physically or electronically searched (ie guards or a metal detector) I am going to be carrying, regardless of what any sign says.
Same here! The signs carry no weight of law, so I ignore them. Technically, I prefer to do business elsewhere when possible, but if I MUST go where those signs are, then I ignore them!

I got escorted out of the galleria by 3 cops and a dog. They ain’t kidding.
Oh, no - was this since they installed the “gun-sniffing dogs” that made the news after the last shooting there? I’ve not set foot inside since.

Yes it was just a few weeks ago. They were nice about it but still. I was just taking my wife to get something sexy and they had to interrupt
