I lucked up and found 12 boxes of mostly Remington 30-30 ammo at a local country junk shop for $10 a box. No more than I shoot either of my Win. 94's or Glenfield Marlin these should last me the rest of my life.

I own mine at less than $0.55 per round.

Walmart will every now and then get Winchester 170s. Typically priced around 25$. Always a good day when you can find some in that price range.

Good deal. The 30-30 is my favorite deer hunting rifle. Most of the places I hunt are overgrown with briars and have fallen pines all over so I rarely get a shot over maybe 100 yards. That short Marlin 30-30 doesn’t get all tangled up like a longer rifle and those chunky, rounded bullets just laugh at obstructions that would scare the trajectory out of a 7mag, .270, .308, or 30-06.
