Well I have shot a lot of different calibers, but the main ones for me are 9 and .40, I love a 9mm alot! But after buying my glock 27 I have absolutely fell inlove with the .40 caliber round, any caliber would hurt, but my preferred caliber now is my 40 s&w, love the round, a little snappy but over all its awesome

If the opportunity presents itself, try out the .357 SIG cartridge, a .40-caliber case bottle-necked to .357. Produces similar ballistics to the famed .357 Magnum but, oddly, shoots "flatter" somehow than .40.

Ammo is a little pricier and a little harder to find; all you'd need beyond that would be a Glock barrel (or a conversion barrel by an outfit like Lone Wolf, etc.) and, poof, you have a multi-caliber gun. In fact, I think you could even score a 9mm conversion barrel to use in that G27. I think you'd need dedicated 9mm Glock mags for the latter; your existing .40 mags would work with .357 SIG.

For a time I used SIG P229s and had barrels in both .357 and .40; it was great (and easy) to be able to swap back and forth between calibers. I never tried the 9mm conversion barrel route there.

9mm for my hand guns and 308 and 44 magnum for my two hunting rifles.
