Hard Chrome

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, in getting a handgun Hard Chromed? Sources for this service with a good reputation?
Any info helps, so thank you.

I had a 1911 frame and a Sig P220 slide done several years ago by https://apwcogan.com/ , both turned out great. I can't vouch for their recent work, but they have a good reputation on various forums. And it looks like they're not too far from you.

Thanks kwb. I did see them on their web site yesterday and yes they are close by.
I may drop in to see them or call.
I have a beat up Model 19 S&W that might hold up better for carry in the woods if it were Hard Chromed.

APW Cogan has done 4 handguns for me. Checkout Mahovskys Metalife as well. He has dozens of pictures of the guns they have done. Ron has done two or three of my pistols in hard Chrome as well.
