Just learned about a new shooting range in Huntsville. Hobbs Island?

Is anyone a member of the new Hobbs Island shooting range? They have a 375yd range that would be awesome to try out.

It's a very nice range. Buddy of mine used to be a member, but he didn't renew because the membership fee went up and you also have to pay a fee to shoot.

What's the going rate for membership? Worth it?

Don't know what they're charging. My buddy said the cost wasn't worth it for him and his for wife.

Nice facility, but a stretch from the house for me. If they hosted more open competitions, I might make the drive on a weekend.

Looks like the cheapest level is $450 per year. Cannot join immediately - there's a wait list.

I've been a member there for 3 years now. Don Eirmann is the owner. Good guy. The membership is 400 per year and FFL transfers are 10 dollars for members. There is hardly ever anyone there during the week shooting and it feels like you have the whole range to yourself.

I have a couple co-worker friends who are members and have invited me there to go shooting with them. Apparently, they can bring a guest. Just haven't took them up on the offer yet as it's a bit of a drive for me. But it does look nice.
