Well just turned 39 and had my first bout with the small monsters. Largest was 6mm. Hit me at the beginning of a night shift. Drove to the ER …2 days later had surgery. That was some kinda experience (pain). Staying hydrated. Lots of lemonade is what i was told. Stent comes out Friday. Anyone have any tips/suggestions?? Was told after stone analysis will be able to form a plan for dietary changes if needed. Back to work tomorrow night Ought to be fun.

Never had one but I think cranberry juice also helps with them? To help flush your kidneys out before you get one or drink more alcohol.

I had them a few years ago. Definitely staying hydrated throughout the day helps a lot. Be cautious of foods with high salt, potassium, and calcium content. Normally they will test the composition of the stone and let you know the changes. Sharp painful buggers and no matter how you adjust yourself there is no pain relief. I feel for you and hope for a speedy recovery.
