Tennessean until recently, just obtained my conceal carry permit here.

Tennessee has no real requirements for private firearm sales - is it the same way here?

I always use a bill of sale, if a handgun sale or purchase, I verify the seller or buyer is 21, and that’s about it.

Is that legal here too? I’m assuming so, being Alabama

Also trying to reach my 10 post minimum so I can buy and sell some things…

Yep it's the same here; several people will prefer a bill of sale and some will ask to see your pistol permit but it's not a legal requirement. It's illegal to knowingly sell a firearm to a prohibited person but that's true anywhere.

Also be aware that it's illegal to sell a handgun to a resident of another state.

Rifle/shotgun = OK
handgun = not OK

I can't explain the logic or reasoning, but that's what it is.
