@Remmy21 - I just saw that you are in the Fort Rucker area. When I was 6 or so (a few years back... will be 65 next month), I visited my Dad at Fort Rucker when he was on some sort of special short term assignment for a few months. He was part of a civilian support and consulting group and, from what I remember him saying, they were there doing hydraulic systems troubleshooting along with various engine inspections, with much of the work concluding with post-maintenance check flights. The civilian consultants he was traveling with included a gentleman by the name of Charles Lindbergh. My Dad told a story many times about how, during one check flight out of Warner Robins in the late 1950s, Mr. Lindbergh actually flew a "Gooney Bird" under a power line simply because he had an opportunity to do it!
