Anyone buying any night optics recently? Any recommendations?

Just put in an order for a PVS-14 from TNVC. Painfully expensive

I've been looking at getting a thermal scope for the AR-10 I'm building for hog hunting. Probably going to get an AGM Rattler or something similar but it's gonna take a bit to save up for. Definitely want to pick up a PVS-14 at some point too but they're so expensive plus you need an IR laser/illuminator at helmet mount to really use them so you're looking at about $4,500-$5,000 for a complete setup.

Yes they are crazy expensive but definitely a force multiplier. Plus they are getting more expensive seemingly everyday.

I also was looking at a thermal for one of my rifles. Decided to delay that in favor of the PVS-14.

I definitely have a gun buying addiction but some of the things I’m seeing today has pushed me to want some night vision capabilities sooner rather than later.

TNVC's sister company, Night Goggles INc, sells Elbit XLS tubed 14's a couple times a year for a great price. They sell out quick. Might be worth getting on their mailing list if anyone is interested.
