Having watched the recent pager and radio attacks in Lebanon, one has to be impressed by what the Israeli’s pulled off. It also should get the attention of anyone purchasing electronics from outside the US in particular. The amount of hysteria, fear and confusion this attack has caused is on a scale and type not seen before.
I picked up a Holosun pistol red dot optic a while back and it’s performed well although I’m generally limited to Trijicon, eotech and aimpoint. I have to say though I doubt I would buy another with the thought of what happened in Lebanon. Of course, pretty much every available phone you can get today is also made in China. Maybe it’s too late to get to the point of eliminating this risk in the US but the impact from this attack in Lebanon may have long term implications.
Plus what about buying used items? Could they now be booby trapped as well? It starts to get really interesting and crazy to think about what could be done following the Israeli example.
