Best small frame AR caliber?

It's 2024, and we've seen all kinds of AR-15 calibers come and go, .224 valkyrie, 6.5 grendal, 6.8 spc, 350 legend, 300BO, etc etc? Which small platform caliber do ya'll prefer these days.

For what? It's much like picking out a pair of shoes. Are you going to work in a swamp in dress shoes? Go to the track in boots?

Like the gent above said, it really depends on what you're using it for. General plinking/running drills I use 5.56 mostly. My truck gun is a .300 blk in a pistol configuration. The 6.5 Grendel is great for deer down here IMO.
