I've got a 36" 12ga that I got from a yard sale for 100 bucks.I have heard the term Goose gun all my life. I have never seen one in person.

Marlin 55 GooseIs it a "long Tom"?
I second that. My Higgins 20 gauge doesn't seem to cycle well if you baby it, you have to mean it when you pull the bolt back. I've almost oiled the mechanism to death thinking it just needed oilBolt action shotties are fun to shoot, but it seems like they can be a little finicky. I got a Kessler not too long ago as a project gun. Shoots well, but needs some work. Neat little gun, though, and only made for a few years.
It would take 2 men to hold it just to shoot that gun!!Here it is. 2rd box mag.
@Shocker I didn't realize how long the barrel was kn these until I saw your pic....WOW.
Hmm didn't know that.Recommend storing the bolt seperate from the chamber. Models had an issue with the ejector springs loosing thier spring action from long term storage with the bolt closed.
Brother, if I had a dollar for every time someone surprisingly complimented my exceptionally long barrel...I'd have zero dollars.@Shocker I didn't realize how long the barrel was kn these until I saw your pic....WOW.
