Where is a good place to order steel targets from and not break the bank?

Just basic round steel targets are at Walmart, 4in and 8in. I bought 2 different thickness for pistol and rifle. I'm sure you can order online also

Just be careful and mount them properly to avoid ricochets. It they don't swing then they should hang/mount at an angle to the ground so the round ricochets down into the ground.

That and don't get too close; shoot them from a minimum of 20 yards

+1 to these. And then make sure you match up the steel weight to the caliber. E.g., shooting pistols on rifle steel can also result in ricochet even if it's free-swinging. Have a scar to remind me it's no joke.

In my 29 year LE career I was present twice and provided first aid once on sucking chest wounds from pistol fire on steel targets. I NEVER FIRE AT STEEL UNLESS I AM WEARING A VEST. Saw, heard of, and read about way too many ricochets from shooting on steel to not wear "pounds" when engaging steel.
