Both are beautiful pieces but the Detective Special is the business.
Here's my Dad's bought new in 1975. It is a keeper.

It’s tough to pick a favorite, but I lean toward this S&W Model 27-2 .357 Magnum with a five-inch barrel.

A real beauty and I bet it shoots as good as it looks. Federal American Eagle 158 grain is what I like to use in my 686+ and also my Desert Eagle L5 .357

My favorite handguns would have to be the Browning challenger family. Consisting of the Browning medalist, challenger and nomad. Many of you know that the Colt woodsman Was designed by John Browning ( Bottom gun in the picture) His grandson Bruce Browning Redesign the woodsman and came up with the challenger. One of the major differences is the quick interchangeable barrels.
