It's polite to at least say no thanks to offers by PM.

If you respond to someone's dm from your email, do they get the response?

I just want to make sure because I assumed they did.

Amen to a little politeness! If you ask for more info or detailed pics on an item for sale, don't just leave the seller hanging! A simple thanks, but not what I wanted, or more than want to spend. It is so easy to be nice!

Just make sure to balance safety and common sense with politeness.

I had some pissant on Orange Tractor Talks PM me for my address so he "could ask more questions." I foolishly did, then he e-mailed me to ask a) the price (which was in the ad as required by OTT); then to ask if I would "secure" it for him via Zelle (which I have no idea WTF that is). My response: "FTF and Cash." Never heard from him again.

Brand new member from - of all places - California (I'm in TN). The item I was selling was a 3ph tractor implement.

What-in-the-fork was I thinking??????????
